Dan was born in Upstate New York. At the age of 2 his family moved to the Gulf Coast of Florida. He grew up close to the water and still loves living and playing on the waters of Lake Keowee. Dan and his lovely wife Connie met in Sarasota, Fl while still in college. They were married in 1978 and have 2 grown children, Christopher and Victoria. Both are married and each have beautiful daughters.
Dan spent his early professional life as a Flight Instructor and Airline Pilot. In 1987 he decided to follow in his father’s footsteps and became a building contractor. He’s built homes for customers in Florida, North Carolina and South Carolina.
They moved to Brevard, NC in 1991 to raise their children in an area that they loved, having had a family vacation cabin in North Carolina since 1970. They found Lake Keowee in 1992, spending time there on weekend trips with friends. Dan and Connie fell in love with the Lake and bought property close to the Duke Energy plant in 1994 and built their Lake House in 1997 to use as a vacation rental. In 2007, Dan and Connie decided to move to the lake full time. They sold their house and a farm in Brevard and moved to their lake house.
Connie is a retired elementary school teacher and now works at Wild Hearts Equine Therapy Center in Seneca as a Therapy Facilitator, working with disabled children and adults.
In 2017, Dan was ready for a new project, and found a relatively “Flat” lot in West Union and built their “Retirement Home” where they are loving life! Dan cannot sit still, so now he has embarked on another career and has attained his real estate license and is ready to use his years of experience in home building to help YOU find your next “Special Place”!!!
